Dr. Nina Paroo, ND
Dr. Nina Paroo earned her pre-medical degree from Queen's University in Ontario Canada, and her doctorate degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. After receiving her medical degree, she completed an intensive residency in family medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Philosophy:
Dr. Paroo believes that commitment to one's health is essential for achieving and maintaining optimal wellness. Her responsibility is to help each patient realize their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual potential.
Health is not just freedom from disease; it is the state in which body, mind and spirit are able to achieve their full potential
Symptoms are an indication of a greater health imbalance; it is the root cause of symptoms that should be addressed
Practice:
As a general family physician, Dr. Paroo treats acute and chronic disease, as well as focusing on disease prevention. Her methods address factors that contribute to physical and emotional imbalance. Education is a fundamental approach, as she works with patients to incorporate lifestyle changes to address their concerns.
As part of your experience with Dr. Paroo, she may perform women's annual health exams, routine blood work and additional diagnostic procedures to gather more information. Dr. Paroo believes patient's personal goals are best achieved by developing individualized programs in the areas of nutrition, homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy and lifestyle modification.
Dr. Paroo served on the executive board of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
